JUNE PRESBYTERY MEETING INFORMATION

Presbytery of Northern Plains is meeting at Jamestown College on June 11 – 12. Many things have been planned that promise to make this time both an important presbytery meeting and an opportunity to “discover the spirit” and see where that leads us!

It is our hope that visitors as well as regular commissioners will choose to take part.  This is a great meeting for people from your church who may not ordinarily come to Presbytery but who will benefit from the fellowship and learning we are expecting together. Mark your calendars, make your reservations and plan to join us for this special occasion.

Remember EVERYONE is invited to attend.  A schedule of events and registration are posted on the bulletin board.   Marie Koenig is our commissioner.

A limited amount of Large Print Bulletins will be available from the ushers for Sunday Worship.  Thank you for whatever suggestions you may have to enhance our worship service for everyone.

 PNP IS NOW ON FACEBOOK

In an effort to help Presbyterians in the Northern Plains to connect with each other, the Presbytery now has a Facebook page. Facebook users may become members of the presbytery's group. The group will receive periodic event updates and is open to posts and discussion topics from members. You have to be a Facebook user to join the group, which is free.  So become a fan of the presbytery and join in the fun.

Pastor Rick’s Report

A church the size of Westminster should have an average attendance at the worship service of at least 75 people. Of course there are competing alternatives, but the call of God on our lives means we should worship God first. Sometimes we think we can worship God some other time and do what we want to first, but Jesus clearly tells us that if we do not come when we are called, we won’t be a part of His Kingdom. In other words, “what makes us think that if we don’t have time to worship the Lord now, it will be any different later?” It won’t be! The time is Sunday, 9:30 am. See you in worship. For most of the summer we will be looking at the Bible and the Apostle’s Creed.
