The Reverend Richard Kargard has accepted the pastoral call and will become the minister of Westminster Presbyterian Church. The reverend has excellent qualifications and will be a faithful and dedicated leader for our ministry and congregation.
Rick, a skilled and experienced minister, has served churches in Arizona, Iowa, and Utah as well as two churches in North Dakota. He is familiar with our weather and isn’t afraid of a little snow! From our personal visits with Rick and conversations with his references, we’ve learned that he is a friendly, relaxed gentleman with a great sense of humor, enjoys being involved in the community and meeting new people. He’s also an avid card player. Pinochle and whist players take notice! He always enjoys watching sports, so keep an eye out for him in the bleachers.
Reverend Kargard is an active Presbytery contributor and has served as a Committee On Ministry member in several Presbyteries. He enjoys both traditional and contemporary church music (he plays the guitar) and is an administrator that conducts efficient meetings.
He has a daughter and three grandchildren that reside in Nebraska.
